Volunteer

Aging in Hartland was founded by a dedicated group of volunteers who believe that healthy aging is a key to a healthy community. With a focus on aging in place, Aging in Hartland also supports all community members 60 and older with a wide range of services including community nursing and physical, emotional, and educational activities. As we begin to emerge from the restrictions of COVID, we invite residents of all ages to volunteer to strengthen our community by participating in our mission. Evidence shows that volunteering at any age is good for your health. Click here for more information on the benefits of volunteering.

There are many volunteer opportunities available. Here are just a few:

  • Help with repairing or maintaining senior’s homes
  • Write an article for our newsletter, Senior Hartbeat
  • Visit seniors in their homes as part of the Friendly Visitor Program
  • Be a guest speaker for an aging related topic
  • Plan and organize recreational activities
  • Assist with fundraising events
  • Attend our Senior Café, spend some time with your 60+ neighbors

Please email welcome@aginginhartland.org and we will reach out to you to find a way to personalize your desire to volunteer for Aging in Hartland. The sustainability of our mission is based on a broad base of volunteer neighbors and friends who are willing to help out.
